As reported Ian Rapoport, former New England Patriots wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins will boost New York Jets attack in the following season.
The #Jets are signing WR Kenbrell Thompkins from their practice squad to their active roster, source said.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 20, 2015
He was signed by Patriots as an undrafted free agent two years ago, catching 32 passes and 4 touchdowns in 12 games. After that he was released in 2014, and picked up on waivers by the Oakland Raiders. His play of the career so far was game-winning strike against New Orleans Saints when he catched Tom Bradys pass and scored touchdown in last-seconds as rookie.
Jets will face to Pats this week in Foxboro, which will be great opportunity for Thompkins to show what New England let go from the squad. Good news for him is that he will play instead Quincy Enunwa who is suspended by NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
