At long last, Bruce Arians has been released from hospital after a night of treatment. The Arizona Cardinals’ head coach was discharged from a San Diego hospital on Wednesday morning after spending the entire night at the hospital bed.
According to NFL Media, just shortly after 8.00 a.m. PT, Arians was reportedly back at his team’s hotel.
On Tuesday evening, there was panic among a cross-section of Arizona Cardinals’ fans after the coach was taken in for a medical checkup following complaints of stomach pains and upset. This happened shortly after the team had arrived in San Diego for their collaborative practice with the San Diego Chargers.
Close sources with reliable information about Arians’ illness later informed Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insider that the coach had initially undergone some tests and his condition was said to be not very serious. However, later the doctors who were handling him recommended his overnight stay for further checks.
Back in January 2013, the 63-year old Arians had been hospitalized with an inner-ear infection when he was still at the Indianapolis Colts as offensive coordinator. However, according to NFL Media, his latest hospitalization is not known to be related to this past hospital admission.
